Tax Executive

TAX EXECUTIVE, 2 YEARS’ + EXPERIENCE, WEST SUSSEX, COMPETITIVE SALARY DOE.

A leading regional law firm seeks an experienced Tax Executive to give expert tax advice to their existing clients. The role will suit an experienced accountant who also has a good understanding of trusts and estates’ accounting.

Candidates must:
• have a STEP, ATT, or CTA (part qualified) qualification,
• have at least 2 years’ experience in a private client or trust department, ideally within another reputable law firm,
• have excellent interpersonal skills and be comfortable in a client facing role,
• be able to prioritise work, adhere to critical deadlines, and have an eye for detail, and
• be IT literate, with experience of using case management and tax software (ideally IRIS)

The role will include a broad range of tax work including:
• completing tax returns and personal tax returns, including related tax calculations using the firm’s software (IRIS), and
• completing inheritance tax returns for trusts and estates.
The role will also include some trusts related work including:
• preparing trust accounts, and
• providing clients with advice on a variety of trusts and estates’ tax matters.
